Hendrick Motorsports and the Hendrick Durham Auto Mall are celebrating 100 years of Chevrolet.
The Chevy brand and its iconic bow-tie symbol have become synonymous with the American hallmarks of freedom, independence and the pursuit of happiness.
The Chevy Suburban has been America's top-selling SUV longer than Krispy-Kreme doughnuts has been in existence. That fact alone says a lot about that vehicle.
On November 3, 1911, Swiss immigrant Louis Chevrolet and U.S. entrepreneur Billy Durant founded the Chevrolet Motor Car Company. To commemorate that occasion, the cars and drivers of Hendrick Motorsports will put on a special display at the October NASCAR race in Charlotte.
The cars of Mark Martin (No. 5), Jeff Gordon (No. 24), Jimmie Johnson (Nno. 48) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (No. 88) will be decorated in striking silver paint-outs. The official "Chevy 100" logo – accented with the famous golden bowtie - will be prominently positioned on the nose of each car.
Hendrick Motorsports also will be offering a special four-piece set that will be limited to 100 issues. The set includes each Hendrick "Chevy 100" car in a chrome-plated finish, each autographed by the driver.
Meanwhile, the Hendrick Durham Auto Mall is selling its Chevrolet inventory at a very good clip, thanks to large discounts and special financing rates.
The dealership is offering zero-percent financing to qualified buyers on the Chevy Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban, Avalanche, Colorado and Silverado.
In lieu of the special financing, consumers can choose rebates of up to $4,500 on those vehicles -- depending upon the vehicle.
There's a reason that the Chevrolet brand has become such an American favorite. Join Hendrick Durham Auto Mall and Hendrick Motorsports in celebration, and come take a test drive to find out what you've been missing.
